We had a super busy Thanksgiving week so of course I did not get a lot of pictures. Oh well! Mom and Dad came up to our house on Tuesday night. Andy and Lisa flew in from Seattle the next morning. Thursday we shared a wonderful Thanksgiving meal with our good friends, Josh, Tracie, and Addyson. We had TONS of food: homemade cornbread stuffing, rolls, ham, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, corn, carrots, hashbrown casserole and broccoli and rice. We ate until we were stuffed. After we let that settle, we jumped right into eating the yummy pies: chocolate pecan (thanks Tracie, it was AWESOME), apple, pumpkin, and pumpkin cheesecake.
Friday morning we were at Walmart by midnight to do some Black Friday shopping. Got some great deals! Then it was back home to sleep a few hours until going back to Walmart at 4:30. I had found a $50 gift card from when Aiden was born, so we decided to get him a portable DVD player. What a wonderful thing!! We'll get a lot of use from it on our trip to Alabama in a few weeks.
After Monty got off work, we headed to El Dorado watch Austin play in the 6A football semi-finals. They played a great game, but lost in the end by ONE point. :( We spent the night in El Dorado and then headed to Hot Springs on Saturday. We watched the LSU/Arkansas game at my grandparents that afternoon. Hogs won a great game!!
Saturday night we went to Garvan Gardens in Hot Springs. Aiden LOVED the lights. He is now obsessed with our Christmas tree! His favorite part of the night was the Choo-Choo. We went through it twice and he asked about it all. night. long.We had a great time having the entire family together, which doesn't happen very often. The next family reunion will be at Andy and Lisa's wedding in March.
So much to be thankful for! What a great way to start the holiday season!
